Our greatest need is volunteers! Our most critical needs fall under event support. Each year, we host several large events, along with quite a few smaller fundraisers and community awareness actvities. Volunteers are needed at all of them, whether that means helping to set-up/tear-down, transport items to/from, helping on-site or even assisting us virtually by getting the word out and sharing our posts. Do you enjoy talking to the public? Help spread our mission! Every interaction with the public helps get us closer to our goals.
Our local shelters have many direct volunteer needs as well. One of the most fun ways to volunteer as an entire family is to take a shelter dog on a Doggie Day Out! These day trips provide a much-needed break for shelter dogs who will often spend 23.5+ hours a day in a kennel. They get to decompress for a bit, get some exercise, and breathe in fresh air. You can take them to the beach, or for a long walk at a park; grab a pup cup, or even take them to your home to watch TV and just relax! And a side bonus: we learn more about the dog in a real-world setting, which ultimately helps them become more adoptable. Hours vary by location!
